Professor David L. Heymann works on translation of evidence into policy options for the Hub. As such, he ensures that the Hub’s research evidence and outputs come to the attention of key policy influencers. He is currently Professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at LSHTM, and has served as head of the Centre on Global Health Security at Chatham House, London. His areas of expertise include epidemiology and public health. Previously he was the World Health Organization’s assistant director-general for health security and environment, and representative of the director-general for polio eradication.
