Ivo Syndicus

Dr Ivo Syndicus is a postdoctoral research fellow in social sciences contributing to ethnographically understanding risks of zoonotic disease transmission in poultry production and distribution networks across the Hub’s research sites. He is an anthropologist with further backgrounds in agriculture ecology, rural development and natural resource management. Dr Syndicus has an abiding interest in interdisciplinary research on how processes of social change intersect with the transformation of land use and agricultural production systems. His work to date has focused on the Bolivian Andes, Tamil Nadu (India), and Papua New Guinea in particular where he also conducted research on higher education.
