Punam Mangtani

Dr Punam Mangtani is a clinical epidemiologist and leads human health research activities to complement the Hub’s interdisciplinary work. Her expertise is in vaccine preventable diseases, including influenza and TB amongst others and a current focus on livestock-related zoonoses that includes MersCoV and brucellosis. Key specific projects assess transmissibility of avian influenzas to people and risks of spill-over of zoonotic and foodborne infections to inform and assess protective measures including healthy markets. She is a professor at the LSHTM.
